Just bought new 2010 q7 american specs but plan on driving car in germany for awhile. Dealer says I can not load european maps. Anyboday have any Ideas?

 

I had an older version of navigation and I got "Audi MMI Navigation DVD Europa Version 2009" from some torrents, burned it on a DVD and replaced the existing one with this one that was updated. I don't see why it wouldnt work for you.
You can find the navigation DVD-rom in the trunk, where the spare wheel should be.
I assume AUDI should give free updated versions for the navigation DVD anyway.

 

Hey thanks. The dealer was telling me it just will not work in Europe becasue its American specs built and its a software thing. I heard that i need the latest firmware upgrade then maybe it will work.
