Angry New timing chain for a 2007 Q7 80k miles?

I was told I need a new timing chain for my wife's Q7 that has 80k miles. Mechanic say's he can hear it while accelerating. I will get a second opinion but wanted to see if anyone is familiar with this issue. Thx!

most likely its the timing chain tensioner plastic rail, but none the less in order to get to that part its very time consuming and tedious... once there you might as well replace the chain as well

You can get it for free. The timimg belt has a "lifetime" warranty which at audi means 100k miles. Could get lucky unlike us

Get lucky? I believe one has more luck wining the lottery than actually get Audi to pay or do something for free...
