Oil Change Q7 (2017 - 2019)
Q7 2017 3.0 gasoline engine
What you'll need if you change your own oil the traditional way, via drain plug vs the suction method.
Reset the oil change interval using the Menu - Vehicle - Service Maintenance - Service Interval - Yes
I wish my 2004 TT were this easy!
What you'll need if you change your own oil the traditional way, via drain plug vs the suction method.
- Torx 25 for removal of dust shield
- Torx 45 for Oil Rain Plug removal.
- Flathead screwdriver for retaining clips on engine cover and also dust shield removal.
- 36mm socket for oil filter canister, with extension wrench.
- Oil Filter and new O-Ring
- 7+ quarts of 5w-40 (Yes I know it's a bit more, but this is the amount that drained out of my Q7)
- replacement crush washer for oil plug (sorry, I don't recall the size)
