Q7 Satellite Module Install- Antenna issue
Hi,
I'm new to Audi Forums, but I have read a few threads about installing Satellite Radio module to the Q7 (and other modules). It is described as easy, and I would agree- but I have one problem. I purchased an XM satellite module on Ebay, and have attempted to install, but I cannot locate anywhere in the wiring harness area, the "green" and "brown" RF antenna connections. In other words, the electrical and MOST optical cable harness were right there were they should have been, bundled nicely, and when I connect them to the module, the MMI recognizes and reports the XM module. But the "green" and "brown" RF ports on the module obviously need to be connected to RF antenna cables on the Q7. They are nowhere to be found! That seems very unlikely that they would not be present, when the electrical and optical cables are there, and there is a physical satellite antenna on top of the car. Any ideas?

Antenna
In 07 Audi went to a single antenna so you wont have a green and brown connector. In my 07 i have just a green one.. Depending on how old your module is, it may have two antenna inputs in which case you will need a splitter..

Figured it out!
Thanks - I ended up pulling the head liner and traced the antenna leads. They were buried behind the radio unit. I do have the green and brown from the shark fin but my module is a single terminal (green) so I do need the splitter/combiner.
