I recently got a 2017 Q7. I am looking to find out if I can turn off the feature that automatically loads CarPlay when I plug in my phone. When I plug in my phone with no intention of using CarPlay it still takes me to the CarPlay screen and away from what is currently being displayed.

I don't know how to prevent it from automatically switching to CarPlay, but I believe when it does this all you have to do is toggle back to your radio / or nav screen to get out of CarPlay. Just toggle one of the switches at any corner of your touch screen (in front of the shift lever)
