Roughly 50% of the time the car will not accelerate from a stop. No codes/faults in the system. Runs fine other than that. Hit the accelerator and the cars moves with no power. RPMs go to 3k no power/torque. Take foot off and tramp it again and car goes as expected. Dealer has no answer in communication with Germany.

Hard to believe there are no codes for that. Since the Q7is "throttle-by-wire" I would suspect the pedal module or the throttle body module. Of course the dealership must have already checked these items out...?

Audi claims it is some type of wiring harness that comes from the transmission. They claim transmission fluid or some type of fluid/oil gets into the harness and causes a short. I have serious doubts. Wouldn't that throw some type of code? Wouldn't it effect other gears while the car is moving? This only occurs from a dead stop. Hit the accelerator and the car begins to move but then you realize it has no power like you are pulling out in 4th gear. Stay on it to the floor and it eventually shoots you out of a canon or immediately let off and tramp it again and it works. I'm not knowledgeable about cars but is there some type of clutch or converter between the motor and transmission that might be culprit?
