Water Leak Issue in 2007 Models Only???

hi there,

any help would be appreciated. i'm in the market for a used Audi Q7. i've read many forums about the water leak issue, and it appears to be only affecting the 2007 models? is that true?

has anybody experienced this issue in 2008 models or later?

if not, would you still recommend this car if the water leak issue didn't exist?

My wife has over 45k on her 2007 that we bought new and no leaks.

 

I'm not sure I would recommend it unless you are getting a great deal on it like I did. If I had paid the $60k sticker price I would have been extremely upset. Some things to consider though, brakes every 25k miles at $1500 per time. Spill a drink and the MMI (computer and navigation system) is ruined and will cost you $1000 to replace. Car won't run without it. I'm also a Mercedes owner and the Audi is the most expensive car to maintain that I've ever owned. Not saying don't buy it, just giving you unbiased info. Good luck choosing!
