I don't believe that there is a recall on the Cats. I think it is more a matter of being covered under the 70,000 emissions control warranty.

 

That's exactly what it is. I just worded it wrong. Anyway, they are covered.

 

now comes the obvious question " do mods invalidate a warranty " I think you know that answer

 

In the eyes of most dealers.. .the answer is YES. There are some enlightened dealers that take a more reasoned approach to modifications, but unfortunately they are few and far between.

 

Suncoast is in my area, they are a Porsche/Audi/VW dealer here in Sarasota. I know that they do have a performance division, and I've seen them servicing a lot of performance modified cars... I'll let you know if I have any luck, should I ever have to take the walk down dealer lane.
