Well ya thats Jap crap tho! One of the reasons I fell in love with Audi was the fact that they mounted the motor the right way...lol

Besides DSM's have the turbo right up front where it gets some nice cool air.

You want a turbo as hot as possible. Thats why people buy jet hot coatings and turbo sleeves to trap in the heat. Heat = decrease in lag. With the manifold and turbine housing coated you can shave off about 200rpms in lag, which isnt bad. Not to mention it also lowers the underhood temps dramatically. When it comes to awd, it doesnt harm performace if its longitude or transverse. The only benifit to a longitude awd car is, its easier to turn it into a rwd car.

Good point! I think alot of it to is to keep it out of the intake side of the turbo aiding in the fight aginst heat soak.

coating or shielding the turbo or any other exhaust parts helps by not allowing the exhaust to cool in the pipes. when the gas cools it expands, slowing down its flow and increasing travel times and pressure.

i really would like a turbo upgrade that isn't a huge hassle, the ones on the website you showed me earlier are nice, but it looks like it doesn't come with a manifold and dumptube, im really lazy when it comes to that stuff i would rather buy the whole kit together but it doesnt look like thats happening. Let me know if there are places that offer the whole kit in terms of FMIC,mani, pipping, turbo, etc...

Its either APR, pagparts, or atp. Out of the 3, i would take pag everytime since you can get exactly what you want for a great price.Arnold can get you everything you need including fmic, all you have to do is send him an email.
