18's or 19's?
I think it depends on what your road conditions are like.. smooth and flat and 19s should be fine. bumpy and full of potholes you'll want 17 or 18s so there is more rubber to absorb the bump.
remember more weight farther away from the middle = slower.

^ only if you want a monster truck. i'd go 17"s. after 3 sets of 18"s... i would like to go back to the lightness of 17" rims. though if you don't care about that and just want to stunt, go 19"+
18"s i'd say is the happy medium.

I contemplated getting 19's but they were significantly heavier, so I went with 18's which weigh 2lbs less than my stock 17's and with the money I saved by getting the smaller wheel package I got an APR 93 tune. I have noticed a slightly harsher ride but no loss of acceleration so I'm happy with the compromise b/c I really like the look of the 19's especially on a lowered car but did not want to sacrifice performance. These are 18's, non-lowered and spacers are on order to push them out flush with the fender.

I just don't like the look of the 17's. They don't fill out the wheel wells like they should. I will probably lower the car too eventually. Lol, I was also looking at tire prices for 19's vs 18'sand omg it's at least double for the same tires.
I like yanaki's rims, but I think I would have put a higher profile tire on it.
.clipse's are good looking too but I thinkhis car is lowered. I know those are 18's.
I don't care for the look of black rims on the silver TT on cmh's, but I like how they fill out the wells. I think dropping his an inch or so would help his appearance a lot.
Here's a noob question... are the ceneter caps universally one size? So if I bought some custom rims would I be able to put the audi center caps in them?
If you look in my sig with my car the 17's just leave massive gaps in the wells. It looks tacky imho.

I went with 19's and H&R coilovers. Works great and I am pleased. The 19's are lighter than my stock rims so I wasn't too concerned about it. The ride is harsher with this combination but I don't mind it.
Also 19's don't equal slowness (depends really on what you are trying to accomplish). There is always a trade off. At first it may take more energy to move the larger diameter rim but it takes less energy to substain it.
