2000 TT Changing Wheel Bearings, Question
So I am trying to change a bad wheel bearing. After removing everything, the inside of the bearing essentially fell apart. Now I have the housing stuck in the strut assembly. Does this require a special tool to remove, or in the end, to replace the wheel bearing? I can't seem to get this thing to budge.
Any help is appreciated, thanks again!

when you say its stuck in the strut assembly i;m kinda lost...im sure you know where the wheel bearing is located behind the rotor inside the wheel hub. are you replacing your stut bearings?
yeah sorry, it's stuck in the assembly behind the rotor. The insides of the bearing have already all came out. It practically fell apart when I removed the hub. Now even after pounding on it with a minisledge it's not sliding out.
spray some pb blaster on it and let it set for 15 min. then try again...your trying to get it off that threaded spindle right? you might have to get some needle nose pliers or some some clamps to grab hold of it.
did u get this kit?http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...p;engine=180HP
also did you get the retaining clip off? its a half circle with two notches in it. and if you are holding the spindle try jabbing a screwdriver with a towel wrapped around it to get it to move....not sure what all you've tried but its not meant to be this hard lol. also when you do the rears buy them here
they come with what looks like the abs sensor speed rings which is a good deal in itself.
