First time Audi TT owner.. I learned after I changed the oil that this car takes 3.7 qrts. I filled it with about 5 qrts of synthetic 5w30. Is this extra oil bad? If yes, after driving 50 miles, is it too late to remove a qrt or should I drain and start over.

Concerned this will damage the engine.

 

Usually the biggest concern with overfilling is damage to catalytic converters. I would drain a little off and then check the level with the dipstick until you're in the correct range.
