Default 2001 Audi TT & Bose Upgrade

Hi Folks.

I am a newbie to the forum, so apologise if this was discussed already.

Does anyone have any experience working with the headunit and changer in this car? What I am looking to do is get MP3 support either by changing the head unit or changer. It would also be nice to have bluetooth mobile support, but do not mind having an external device to support that.

But with regards to the headunit, I see that by changing away from the factory fit, I will loose the info displayed on the dash, hence my interest to see if anyone knows if a MP3 changer can be fitted with the factory headunit?

I hope all that makes sense.

Look forward to hearing from you.

David.

You might want to try this upgrade it will allow you to keep the data from the head unit, also it will display data from your new input such as iPod. They also have a bluetooth attachment and another attachment so you can keep the cd changer.

The company is Dension and their product is gateway 300 (personnally I think its the best device they sell for the Audi TT.)

Phatnoise makes a MP3 device that fits in the factory CD changer slot (maybe minor modification...) that stores your music via a cartridge that uses USB to transfer music from your computer.....

Thanks, that looks great. Although I will need to contact them, as the support/docs for the TT coupe does not seem to be available?

that product looks great. The only thing i don't seem to like is that you have ot buy all these modules to keep the CD changer and for bluetooth. It should come as a package deal.
