Sorry to flog a dead horse but...

I have a 2004 TT 225 Roadster with 63,000 miles. Do I still need to replace the timing belt or were there modifications in later model years to mitigate this problem? I am happy to replace the belt and pump etc (using the dieselgeek kit) but want to know whether it is absolutely necesssary with an 04 MY??
