Hi,
2008 convertible TT. I'm trying to complete latch sequence to close top. PO apparently lost the tool that is used to engage the latch mechanism that is in the roof.

I've been able to pull the long gear out of the roof, but I can't tell what kind of thing I need to stick into the hole to manually close the latch.

I'm talking about the latch that locks the front of the top to the top of the windshield.

Audi parts wants $100 for this tool. Anyone know a cheaper source?
Or can someone tell me what kind of tool it is (hex/flat head/other) ?
