convertible cover wont close

convertible cover wont close
I have an 03 A4 Cab. the cover close down but will not latch. If I atempt to put the top down it goes have way and stops until reset. Is there anything I can do. Trying to avoid going to the dealer.

You can operate it manually with the handle in your fuse box. Sounds like one of the position sensors has gone south. Itll be kinda tough to diagnose yourself. Nearly imposible without a vagcom.
