3 simple questions?
1.what should the vacuum level be for a 225? I have a boost gauge that shows 20-21 in the vacuum side...is that ok?...
2.and a stupid question, why do we get vacuum,I knowI can search and find out, just like anything in this world, I'm lazy though... hope you guyscanshare some knowledge...
3.if the FPR doesn't have anything connected( no hose) is that bad?... when i installed my gauge the hose disconnected from too much pressure, on the freeway (gauge showing 0)...

Thats why you are reading 0. You should find the hose and put it back on and tighten with something.

Your engine is an air pump, draws air in, burns it, pushes it out, but between the engine itself and the air box, theres a thing called a throttle body. In it isa plate that closes off the intake so the engine can't get air. Put a restriction on the path to an air pump, and you create vacuum. Thats why you pull vac when you're not on the throttle, and why it dissappears when you rev the car (throttle plate is open)
