Default Advice on getting either 2002 or 2004?

First time Audi buyer here.

I have a choice between 2 Audi roadsters and would appreciate some feedback:

2002:
- 56K miles
- private owner
- immaculate Carfax report detailing Audi dealership maintenance
- pristine engine
- pristine interior
- front driver side squeaks when I turn left - control arm/bushings problem?
- exterior scrapes along rear bumper

2004
- 87K miles
- dealer
- Carfax reports no history other than title change
- engine is clean
- interior is clean
- minor curb rash on hubcaps

2004 is priced $600 less than the 2002.

Not sure if I should go for the Audi with the low miles or go for the Audi that is the newer model. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

does the first one with the detailed maintenance report list that the timing belt job was done? if not that will be a bit of an expense and the car is near the point where it should be done soon.

2002 doesn't show the timing belt maintenance as having been performed yet.

Timing belt service needs to be done ASAP on the 02. Figure that into the cost.

So it has been changed on the '04?
