Default me too!

Yeah, I need to replace a front speaker as well. One of my front ones sound 'blown' at certain frequencies.

Not sure what all speakers will work with in it though?

I'm just gonna start by replacing the speakers. Then headunit. Might do the amps. If it looks like I'll need to. I don't think amp replacement will be necessary. Esp. Since you will be getting more power to those speakers from a new deck compared to the stock unit.

Alright, would you mind letting me know the PN of the speaker when you pull it out? I want to call the stealership and see how much they want, before I make any decisions.

stock speakers are ****, paper and ****, the difference is amazing when you pick up some decent speakers.

^like night and day. I replaced the 13 "harmon kardon" speakers from my range rover with really nice speakers. They weren't insanely expensive because they weren't that big. With all the stock amps and wiring, it was SICK! I ripped out the two blown 6" subs, and replaced them with a sub box with 2 10s. It was perfect!

BOSE has good sound, meaning the digitally process the sound and send it to the right locations very well, but the speakers are whats lacking. I never want paper cones. I need to change them ASAP! How do I remove the speakers?

Removal is pretty straight forward. I took mine out and looked at them to get a PN last night. I think you've talked me into ordering some different ones... what to get? I dunno.

To remove them, all you have to do is take off the door panel and remove a few screws. The hardest part (which is relatively easy) is removing the door panel. To remove the panel, simply turn the silver TT cover on your door clock wise (i believe) and it will come off. Then there is a hexed screw behind it, unscrew it. Then lift UP on the door. It pops off (up), one screw! Don't be afraid to give it some force when pulling it up.
