Air Bag problem--Please Help!!
I was makin a 1000 mile drive from FL to MD and on the way my air bag light comes on. I have driven it about 2000 miles since and it hasn't gone away. I unhooked the battery overnight thinkin that maybe it would reset a glitch, but it's still there. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be?
Thanks

No, not without checking DTC's. And you can't reset DTC's by disconnecting the battery. You need to get it scanned.
I had an airbag light - intermittant, resistance too high - for my driver side airbag, wiggled the connector around a bit, it made better contact, and I was able to clear the code. Theres no telling what it could be without scanning it though.

does it have passenger airbag?? is the airbag CEL flashing?? this means the passenger airbag is turned off, passenger airbag has been a problem issue on many cars and due to poor connection but if its on steady the its probably the clock spring in the steering wheel, when the item has been changed/sorted the system will reset removing the battery terminal wont clear the light
The light isn't flashing, it just stays on. I do have a passenger airbag. Do you suggest I take it to an audi dealer (which will cost me a butt load of money) or is there a cheaper solution to this problem?

you have side airbags in the seats too, dont you? could be from a variety of places. Like I said, mine was in the side airbag for the driver seat, and all it took was some wire wiggling to fix it.

$250, and you can scan your entire car as often as you want, for the rest of your life.
well worth the money.

When I scan it will it tell me which air bag to check? I don't know how much longer I am keeping the TT, so I don't wanna invest in a scanner if I won't have this car for much longer. Do I need to go to Audi to get it scanned or can a local parts store scan it?
