Default Air Conditioning System

Hi guys,

I am not quite sure if this subject has come up before I couldn't find anything relevant.

I want to fit an A/C in my Audi TT and I was wondering which are the best brands in air conditioning systems.

Any personal experiences or sites with reviews would be great.

Thanks,
Chris.

All of our cars here come with a/c. If you look on vwvortex.com you should be able to find someone that has pulled there a/c out of their 1.8t and you can use most if not all of their parts on yours.

Thanks cincyTT, you've always been very helpful.

But in general, are you aware of any good brands for car A/C? I could take it in Audi and have them install the Audi one i guess, but I was wondering if I can go for anything outside Audi.

Thanks again.

There are universal kit but i have only seen them installed on very large bodied older american car (1930-50's). I personally would find some used parts like a compressor, condensor, etc first and then source the rest from Audi if you have to. I can only imagine what they would want for those parts vs a good used unit that works just as good.
