Default Air intake question

Just ordered myself a 42 draft design cat back exhaust now im looking to get a new air intake. Does anyone know which is a better buy the neuspeed intake
or the 42 dd intake. I see the 42 dd is about 175$ more i do not mind speeding the money if its worth it.

Intakes are usually a waste of money on turbo vehicles, at least until you install bigger turbos. You should use the cost of the intake and put it toward a downpipe or software. Much better performance for the price

Default 42 DD Hi Flow inlet

I run the 3 in turbo back exhaust and 42DD hi flow inlet for my TT 225 1.8T and an APR stage 1 tune and APR diverter valve. Most everything else that impacts performance is stock. The addition of the inlet alone was not dramatic except for the sound, which is not necessarily louder, just different (due to 42DD inlet only). My TT has noticeably more power with this combination. If my TT had 225 before these mods it has nearly 300 now. Accel runs indicate 18% improvement in HP using a simple dyno that you can buy online, but thats not WHP. - PS. If you want to keep your sanity, remove the side interior panels and stuff (and I mean stuff) all those huge body cavities with glass wool inuslation and use soundmat on the inside body panels (I used it in the doors too and under the hood). My car is 10db quieter now with these sound mods than it was before the mods. Without the soundproofing you will go nuts. It adds minimal weight to the car and makes it a joy to drive.
