Default Alarm Problem, Please Help!!!

Hello all,

I am new to the site, hope you can help me.

I have bought a TT recently with a few problems which I new of when I bought it, Hoping I can fix them myself.

One of the problems is the Alarm.

It doesn't seem to activate, I have read the fault codes but since cleared them.

They seem to point to interior monitor having a low power supply and possible short to ground.

Where should I look I want to try and fix this without taking the whole car apart

Since all of your problems seem to be grounds, check the main grounds from the battery. And please only make on thread next time with all of your problems and not 4. Thanks.

Got the complete vagcom already thanks,

And yes I will consolidate all my posts into one in the future.

I thought there was only one ground from the battery? not multiple?

i cleared all my fault codes last week and none have come back, yet the alarm still doesn't work and the central locking isn't working either.

The central locking mechanisms must be working because after manually syncing the key to the car, I can open the car with the key, but only once.

After this it doesn't work again.

But opening it once with the key proves the locks work.

Another strange issue, is the locking button in the centre of the car. Pressing it locks the car, but the unlocking button doesn't work. But when I use vagcom and reprogram me the key to the car, the unlocking button within the car starts to work again, until the next time i lock the car manually with the key.

I'm all out of ideas. Anyone suggest anything else?
