I'm a member on quite a few car forums... my last being an LS1 GTO which was totaled and is likely being replaced by the TT... another being an IS forum for my wife's 250... as well as a Corvette forum for the C5 I had before the GTO. I would have expected the Corvette, GTO, and LS1 forums to be far more rude, juvenile, and mean spirited than here... I guess I expected too much from most of you guys. I expected some ribing but I simply asked for pics, not harassment. I'm not putting on a wing, coffee-can mufflers, LED wiper-fluid nozzles, spinners, stickers, or a curly antenna. I'm not going to try to defend my opinion that these would look good on a black/red/white TT. It is an opinion, not a suggestion, and as such should not require defense. That said, the ridicule that it generated was uncalled for, immature, and not only has it discouraged me from posting here but, to be honest, if these are the type of people that drive them, it's making me wonder about buying the car. I didn't insult anyone elses car... the fact that some of you are such elitists that you think somone who doesn't share your opinions on asthetics owning the same car as you is somehow below you is rediculous. I'm an engineer... I'm not a CPA, but I'm not the pizza boy either. You really shouldn't make assumptions about someone's socioeconomic class based on an asthetic choice. Some of you need to grow up and some of you really need to step down off your high horse.

jaystt doesnt quite fit with everyone elses opinion but hes welcome here because he took the **** and kept coming. you need to earn your respect.
i was a car n00b and took quite a bit of heat butdidn't let it bother me.. now i can say whatever i want and its all good.. as most here

I'm not a car "n00b"... and I can spell newbie... and I sure don't need to earn respect from anyone. I came here looking for help seeing what something would look like. I didn't flame anyone. If that's how you people get your jollies then I honestly feel sorry for you. The other forums I post on are helpful and even when they have differeing opinions they don't feel the need to be asses expressing them. This is the kind of thing I'd expect on a Civic, Evo, or Eclipse forum. I expected more from you guys... you keep showing me why my expectations are aparently as flawed as your attitudes.

And you must have missed where I said I don't need to earn anyone's respect... especially not yours. Is this not somewhere that people help each other? I'm begining to learn that it isn't... it's where people come to pat eachother on the back if they think the same and point fingers if they don't. Somebody prove me wrong... I want this place to be better than the welcome it's shown me so far.
