Default another clutch question

From my previous post, I asked for some good aftermarket clutches, as my car just stopped because of a bad clutch. But I think I will just get an OEM clutch as they have been really cheap.

But, I am also wondering if i need to get a new flywheel too. Thanks!

New clutch = new flywheel.The stocks are dual mass and cant be resurfaced. Some clean them up, but that could cause the new clutch to slip or just die fast

and to add you dont wanna get the dual mass flywheel....if you think of the design of them you wouldnt want it either...plus they cost more than any aftermarket flywheel....both steel and Alum are both less expensive. and why bother getting the oem clutch disk and pressure plate?

ess eurospec clutches are good and go for 720 a kit from fourseasons tuning I am going with either them or spec spec is a little more pricey at 1000 and the ess kit comes with a slavecylinder all you will need s fluid and a gasket from ecs

new fly wheel? that's debatable as for cutting it in ( absolutely never ) I know its a USA thing BUT DONT EVEN GO THERE,
you can replace the clutch without the flywheel depending on its condition and in most cases it will out last the car

Clutchnet = $640 for everything (you choose the pressure plate and disc)
Southbend clutch from KineticMS = $625 for stg1 and $705 for stg2
Spec = $750 for stg 1 kit.

I personally would go with clutchnet with...

flywheel 12lbs (most others are 10lbs or less)
Kevlar sprung clutch disc or 6puck sprung disk (both are $225)
- if you plan on stock turbo only, the organic sprung disc is $155 and will do
then yellow mild street pressure plate.

Total will be about $800 and then add in "saw it on vortex" and you get the vortex 20% discount - $640

You can turn (mill down a tiny bit) the face of a single mass a couple times but not a dual mass. Like i said, people have cleaned them but thats far from a optimum solution
