another clutch question
I researched the hell out of clutches clutchnet had lots of problems...Heat warped them and the springs popped out on more that onwe persons vdub...Just not alot of goodthings where to be said about them southbend and spec i found nothing bad except chatter but every lw flywheel will chatter....eurospec i have heard nothing but good about they chatter too but...like i said every light weight flywheel will chatter....personally i like the chatter it gives the car a "im faster" sound lol
Type in clutchnet on vortex. The only bad thing is people having fitment issues due to install error. There are a few people running them with over 400whp on pump daily and just under 500whp on race.
When your done with that, type in spec and you can see tons of people having them blow up and eat themselves well below the tq rating. I have seen one in person that ate itself and it wasnt pretty. Southbend or clutchnet are where im going when the time comes.

ive installed every type of clutch into the 1.8t. Ive had problems with clutchnet more then once. also had problems with that ebay brand F1. These were problems that happened due to manufacturer defects. Specs have failed after some time......rare but i seen it first hand once. South bend also failed the same. ECS tuning kits dont live up to what they claim. Euro spec sport sometimes require having to re drill the holes for the flywheel bolts. Sachs Sport...never had a problem. Another company i never had problems with was centerforce, but they dont support 240mm clutches. long story short, alot of them have some problems. but what can you do?
