Default Antenna mount base

So I was going to buy a new antenna for my car that my wife broke off by accident. However, as I started to look deeper into it; the antennas for sale online at ttstuf and most other places are the screw on part. I need the whole assembly. all i have there is a hole. Is there a way to get that base? or is there a better way to go than that?

Oh yea, one more thing. does anyone here have that Bentley TT manual? Is that worth the $99.00 or is there a betterroute i can take?

Patience, grasshopper.

If you are referring to the antenna on the top of the coupe, it is for the optional hands free phone setup. Your radio antenna is in the rear window glass. You have a couple of options. You could just have a body shop fill the hole or just buy a plastic cap to cover it. Alternatively you can get the whole assembly from the dealer or from Clairparts.com or Worldimpex.com.

However, there is yet another option. The window tint I used, caused interference from the AM antenna. I put a Zender amplified antenna from Antennaworld.com I then cut off the lead from the rear window and splicing it into the new antenna.

That's a great idea. I think I'll go with that. You know anything about the TT Manual?

Get it. It isn't the best, but it is the only manual available for working on the TT. They have it both in hardcopy and on CD.

Bump.

wth do you find the antennas on that page? I go to Auto Antenna ----> browse by auto make ---> Audi and I have this page: http://www.antennaworld.com/2004/dep...audi_sub.shtml

On that page, I see a list of different types of antennas but none are hyperlinks and I see no actual antennas for sale.
Help?

i'm reallyout of nowherein your conversation, but i clicked on that link, and their website looks more like a showcase of their products, you would have to go on eBay to buy the actual thing. Idk just a thought.

YEa, thats kind of what I figured. Ebay antennas are crap. anything that has 1,000 seperate auctions by the same person for the same thing that has a price under $5.00 with a shipping cost of $7.99... is probably something from the dollar store. I wish there was a way to filter out those bulk garbage sellers on ebay. They clutter up the friggin website with useless crap that would usually come as a free gift with the purchase of something else.

For manuals, you can snag a DVD one from ebay at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...spagenameZWDVW

The install was tedious, but lots of content, exploded diagrams, factory step by steps etc. I believe it's the ElsaWin software . It was $40 shipped.

Another option is a Bentley CD from eBay vendors for about $67 shipped.

Either way, they save time and msitakes and help trouble shoot. The vendors claim they are not pirated, so I don't feel like anyone's getting ripped.
