I drilled and tapped my mounts, installed a grease fitting. Then took a dremel and bored a hole to the center of the bushing and a longitudinal slot in each bushing, just short of the edge. Used the dremel again to cut out an access hole in the muffler heat shield to get to them without having to drop the muffler and shield. I've got a mini-grease gun loaded with pure silicone grease, everytime they squeak, I just put it up on the lift or jack stands and give them a shot..

When they get dry, they squeak.. Sounds like a bed squeaking when you are... never mind.

But what if you have a waterbed and are doing the "nevermind" - does it sound like that when it rains? [8D]

The teflon tape will eventually wear and youll still get the noises.

Fortunately the seat of the pants driving experience will be so different you will eaither hardly notice, or hardly care. They dont make noise all the time, but when they do, its time for some maintenance.
