Default Anyone here running...

Anyone here running cams from pagparts.com???

Wondering if any of the three are worth it, also since my powerband with my new turbo spools up much later than the Ko4, would it be beneficial to get some cams that would support lower end torque and powerband? Cincy is a genius i think on this subject. Im getting a unitronic mapp sometime this month or march before i leave, and im wondering if i should get some cams from pagparts also. He offers 3 different ones and im just curious how these would result if installed before the chip is put in.

GT2871R, also, they will be porting and polishing the exhaust manifold side and intake side.
They will look at it to see how they can better improve the the flow in and out.

I saw these cams and wondered if it would be a good idea.

Cams change a certian part of the powerband. With a 2871r, you wll want something mild that will give a nice midrange and still carry the power up top. Not really going to give you much in low end unless you increase compression or displacement.

The cat 53's would be the best choice that will increase the main part of the powerband and will allow the turbo to carry power all the way to 7k.

Personally, i would go with an intake manifold instead. No tuning needed and will give more power throughout the powerband. A SEM small port manifold will actually help spool the turbo faster and make more power throughout the entire rpm range. The best part is they will cost the same and you can easily install the intake manifold. A small port should easily net you another 20+ whp and tq throughout the entire rpm range on your setup. A big port will give more, but you will need to atleast port match the head to see the extra gains.

Port the head, not the intake manifold. That is if you plan on running a big port manifold instead of a small port

ok, ill find out about porting the head and then porting the manifolds to find out if it will make a difference.
