Default Anyone using this Setup from AWE?

After reading through the FAQ, I looked through ttstuff/modshack and AWE for Pillars/Boost gauges/Vent gauges and everything since I want functionality and visibility to be at their max. The modshack one is cool, practically the same idea as the one as AWE and effective (vent gauge).
I'm very interested in the AWE one just because it's simple, all assembled and by my terms plugs and play. Are any of you using the AWE kit, if so hows the gauge work, is it reliable?, is it accurate and has the heat/cold from the vent effected it in anyway?

the awe kit is nice, plenty of people have them. but to be honest, you can save about a $100+ getting a VDO guage (almost a perfect match) and a modshack vent ring. both you will have to do some work, but not that much more for the vent ring.

Have been checking out the AWE one. Looks like a nice complete solution. Price is up there though.

Good tip Cincy. How is the accuracy on the VDO gauges? Close enough?

there are plenty of people using the vdo guages. you can also choose the background led for the gauge also. go to 42draftdesigns and check them out for yourself. they are also reliable along with an autometer gauge.

I've got the AWE gauge, and i thought installation was a snap. The directions they give you are step-by-step w/ pics, so it's pretty hard to screw it up. Hardest part of the whole thing was putting the dash back on correctly. Vent still works good for me as well, not a noticeable difference in the amount of air that comes out.

i have the awe and love it.....airflow is great and doesnt effect the gauge at all. its pricy but you get what you pay for.....make sure to get longer silcone hose if you wanna put the gauge in the middle pod...

hmmm...AWE is simple...but only by a few steps you say? Bah id rather save the $100+ and do some more work. Hell, if I managed to take that God Awful Bumper off[:@] I spose I can tinker with a vent ring for a bit lol.
Yea I was torn between Autometer or VDO. A friend of mine has 3-4 VDO gauges in his car and he loves them all.

Off subject for a second, because I can lol. After I left work last night, I whomped on it (After I got the Injen Intake on and Forge DV in) Today I come into work and one of my co-workers says "It sounded like a soft grinding sound, like the clutch wasn't engaging right." Uhmmmmm what?
Guess i'll have my friend drive my car and ill take a listen. Im almost 100% Positive it's them hearing the suction of the turbo through the intake and the dv going Pfffft.
Boo for ppl making me worry, def will pick up a boost gauge asap however to re-assure things are a-Ok
