Default APR chip program swapping question

It's the weekend and my closest APR dealer is closed so bear with me. I have an APR chip that has the program for my 2000 180TTQ. I never got it installed as I was debating over some upgrades and have since decided to sell it for a 225TT. Can I take this chip to my APR dealer and have them reprogram it for the 225TT that I'm looking at purchasing? Perhaps someone has some experience with this and can let me know. If not I will call them tomorrow. Thanks for any help you can give.

Aside: If anyone is looking to purchase a TT, I put mine up for sale in the classifieds.

The chip itself is the same from model to model and year to year. The programming is different. You would have to solder the chip into the new ECU and have it flashed for the year/model.

I would contact APR directly. Their customer service is excellent and they would be more than willing to answer your questions and help you out. Something to note is that the 225TT has differnt fuel injection parameters than the 180TT due to differences in compression, turbo size,etc... In addition automakers routinely make small changes to the ECU from year to year even though it appears to be the same in order to maximizes thingsthat are not seen on a spec sheet such as throttle response and emissions.
