Your TT is a 2000 model year and therefore you have a different ECU than later years and indeed have less memory availiable. The reason you can't get the trial is because they would have to physically open your ECU and solder in a new chip with the program, thus not easily reversible at the end of the trial. In later years the program is flash loaded to the ECU via the dash plug/port with a laptop computer. Also, I have only heard of a free trial, not $75 unless they are charging you shop time to load it. Good luck getting chipped, I have APR93 and can tell you that it makes a big improvement on the performance of the TT-

Revo is a free trial... I'd check that out instead.
It's better to give business to someone that doesn't try to take advantage of you even if you have to drive a few extra miles to do it.

Is the $75 applied toward the purchase if you buy it?

If it's not i'd kick them in the nuts and never look back.

Having to solder a chip sucks, the ecu sucks in general. I plan on dumping my pos ATC ecu soon enough.

I think most if not all ATC cars will need a chip, not sure if there is space for a differnt map to be flashed.

my 2000 180 quattro ATC is flashloaded, only enough room for one program though, if you want more than one you will have to get a chip soldered on

dont do the trials they will make your car slower after the trial is over. also after your not impressed by either apr or revo you will have to go through some **** to have good software installed.
