ummm so did audi or you send this notice to everyone that has an audi tt in those years? i dont understand....so i have to go to my local audi dealer and get them to say my cluster is and was messed up during those six years?
yeah I dont like the part about having to have had a licensed mechanics or repair facility diagnose the repair within 6yrs of the inservice date. most people with failing clusters already knew it and never paid to have someone confirm. Its pretty obvious.
you think they would keep your car for a week while they pulled your cluster and sent to bba? hmm..
i understand that they would not let you keep your old cluster if you've already had it fixed. maybe they sent all those to bba and now have a stockpile of "fixed" clusters they can use now.

Thats what they do when they "fix it" they send them out to bba reman if you bug the he!! out of them and dont take no for an answer they will send it to bba reman for a fix free of charge. Its cheaper than them giving you a new gauge cluster, they where going to give me a new cluster, but decided to send mine to bba reman. I have not had a chance to let them do it yet but i will in the next month or so!
hmm, most I've heard that had this fixed for free had a new gauge cluster installed. many inquired about keeping old and was always told $400 or some crazy number like that.
