Audi tt acquired cheap
Hi all
My frst post, acquired a audi TT 2000 8N 2WD at the auctions pretty cheap
was suposed to be flood damaged and doors were locked wth no keys, picked it up for $5000.00 AUS dollars
Got it back to my shop and used a wurth air bag to bend the drivers door glass back and a piece of long dowel to push the unlock button on the console
bingo entry gained, had a rummage around checked under the bonnet fluid levels all seemed ok was looking more lke insurance job rather than flood damage as i couldnt see any signs of water marks
We had huge floods here in Melbourne and thousands of cars in the city CBD
went under water and a insurance assor friend of mine told me that they were that much under the pump to get thru all the claims
they were under instruction if the car was over 10 year old, didnt start or car was locked with no access it was to be written off
To my supprise found spare transponder key under seat so i hooked up jumper battery and she started
drove her on the hoist to give it a check over all looked good
put a trade plate on her and drove it home
Car drove good, only about 100 odd thousand on the clock
but did notice after drive a bit of oil around intake pipes further inspection found turbo pumping a bit of oil
will drive it for a while after i get registration for it and later do a upgrade and big turbo engine build with some go fast internal and external parts
will post some pics later
Cheers

Hi North D
I got the down pipe for USA a company called Top Speed Pro -1 Performance
they have a ebay store
I purchased off them a hi flow manifold and the down pipe
the rest of the system i fabricated myself
3' all the way thru turbo flow front and rear mufflers and a magnaflow hi flow cat total cost for all the bits about $900.00 AU
Sound s deep and not to noisy
Cheers

nice looking job actually very nice.....
at this point are you just making sure all OEM stuff is working and fixing any of that as it comes up? and then move on from there ?
looks like you are moving along really nice.....
let me know if you have questions I do not know crap but I can find the answers LOL....
