I have a '01 TT Quattro Roadster and i am trying to order a HID kit and i need the bulb type. Can someone tell me what kind to order ? I am currently running hyper halogens on and want something brighter.. The box for my halogens say H3, but when i look online i see H1 everywhere.. Can someone help me out ?

Im getting confused now, does my car come with HID from the factory already ? someone help me out please.

 

if they look bluish/bring white, they're HID's.

low beam - white, HID
fog lights - yellowish white, halogen

I've never seen a TT that wasn't HID.

 

Yeah, they're white. The car was my dad's before and i found the box for some raybrig bulbs and it says Hyper Halogen, they're not HID's. But they say H3 on it, so could that maybe be the High beams ? So lets say i have Hyper Halogen bulbs on right now or low HID's... if i wanted to upgrade i would only need bulbs and not the whole kit correct ? i was going to buy a 55w kit with 10k bulbs. They're only $60 for the kit+bulbs.
