Changed from C5W bulbs to LED bulbs - Number Plate Bulb error.
Hi
I recently installed some C5W LED bulbs in the number plate lights (rear, obviously). And I keep getting an error, because the car thinks that the bulbs are not working when they really are.
Is there any way I can fool the car into thinking that the light is really working? Or perhaps program it with VAG-COM so that it no longer checks the rear license plate bulbs?
Any suggestions.

resistors can be found at radio shack, they are small and reletively easy to work with, as far as exactly what kind bring in the LED to radio shack or know the amp and wattage of the LEDs your using and they will set you up with the proper resistors
when you learn about how and why LED's are different then standard bulbs you'll understand why you need resistors because the current is different
i only know this because my roomate (i'm a college kid) made his own custom LED tailights and i helped him out with it....they look sick tho
