Default Audi TT mods?

Hey guys, I'm still in the process of modding my 225.

So far I have Bilstein PSS9, Chicago Performance Tuning Adjustable Control arms, front stoptech slotted rotors (/w motul 600 and stainless steel lines).

By this friday my TTDA/**** will come in with my Milltek exhaust and my car will change the stage 1 file revo to stage 2. They will also be replacing my forge 007 to a forge splitter.

I have a few more questions about mods for my car. A guy emailed me that he was selling a lot of his parts before he sells his 225 roadster.

I am interested in:
4 Bar FPR
AWE Vented Boost Gauge
Modshack Boost Machine
HID Front Headlights

are these items that are safe to buy used? How do I check them? What exactly does the boost machine and 4 Bar FPR do? For the HIDs, how do I know they are actual HIDs if they arent plugged in?

i think you need the 4bar with the ****, cant remember, though IMO the **** is really not needed and is just throwing money out there... but oh well... i have the awe gauge, its nice, but i was an idiot and it was way overpriced, but if you cant get it for a decent price then yes, id get that, you need a boost gauge to comfortably mod a tt...

as for the HIDs... shopxenon.com... 110 bucks shipped brand new, i have them, 0 problems, easy install... cant really go wrong there...

and the boost machine, once again, all depends on price, but its oversized, for a boost controller i would check out turboxs and look at the hpbc.. keep in mind youll need a boost gauge if you want a mbc... hope that helps a little

4-bar fpr? for what?

****? pif. overpriced and not even worth it. you'll just end up running rich.

Boost Machine? lol? overpriced and ur better of with a turboxs mbc.

awe tuning gauge? u serious? over $200 for a boost gauge? a $60 mechanical hg/psi autometer boost gauge and you're straight. besides you dont even need that dumb vent ring.

all this money being thrown around couldve been used on real mods like a 3" DP/FMIC/WM/etc.

my $.02...

I want a liquid TT lol, but ya man the real upgrades are went you start replacing the brains of the TT, like stated above. Go to 42 draft designs and get some real upgrades you wont regrett it.

like i said, the **** and 4bar arent good investments.. same with the awe vent gauge, i made that mistake... those right there and you have yourself a DP...

liquidtt gauge is fun though, more than enough, and tells you everything pretty much

I disagree with many of the above comments. The **** and Boost Machine are both positive adders. I made my own Boost Machine, though, out of stainless. The AWE is the best-fit gauge currently on the market, and it works well. Sure it's pricey, but it ain't ugly like most of the other options. I would suggest RevoTechnica if you are looking for good fit and are cost conscious.

I wouldn't buy the boost machine due to 3 people I've spoken to have it & say car runs like **** or it was a bad buy & they regret. I don't know if they know how to use it or if it's problematic (which I kinda doubt). I bought a forge MBC in place of the N75.
