If you're looking to do a big turbo conversion, just start with a 180. Why pay thousands extra for a car with a turbo setup you won't use?
Because its more than the turbo, the 225 is a better platform to build from, already able to handle more power than the 180.
Both will only hold pump on a gt2871r or50trim. That's not that big of a diff. If you go with race fuel or anything bigger, his statements are more than true.

What's wrong with the goat trail? Hit up seven's lake drive when it opens up in the spring; some serious twisties!
Byrant Pond RD and Denny Town RD in Putnam Valley are pretty fun as well.
Damn I miss NY, there are no twisties in Jersey! [&o]

180 has 9.5:1
225 has 9:1

The 9.5 will spool a turbo faster and make more power at the same psi and out of boost. The lower c/r will allow you to run more boost.

The a4/s4 have torsen which I would rather have.

i would go awd. more pratical imho. both have the pro's and cons. i think there are alot more pro's on the awd. the truth is tho, aftermarket parts and accesories and fix the short commings of both cars. as always the bigger wallet wins. but if i had to pick i would go awd. more in tuned to my driving style and the platform saves me a fortune for the car i want to build. the worst part of the fwd cars are the tranny's. the o2j's have to be built and even then you will have a failure at high hp levels.

What part are you calling BS? You should know with a TTQ with a dialed in suspension the car is capable of sticking the road. If the GTP was stock, than total BS, butmine is nothing close to stock in everyway, well insidedeep of the motor. My friend's 97 Supra will do the same corners at 140 and leave everyone in the dust!

Where I am from, we have a lot of twisty flat roads, some with slight elevation, and a lot of straight roads too in farm land. So we have a pretty good selection of cruising routes! We do an annual cruise on a stretch that is posted, 40 miles of pure twisties, I think we passed about 5 vehicles in the 40 miles, we had two groups, the fast group: me in the GTP, a friend in 97 Supra, and friend in a 03 WRX, then the slow group, which is the rest:
