Default battery?

i'm sorry but is there some sort of secret to changing the battery in a tt? i think my 2001 tt has the original battery and it feels like it is bolted down or glued to the base of the battery compartment. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Yeah, its bolted down.

Front side of the battery, at the base, theres a tab, probably 2x1 inches, with a single bolt in the middle of it. That needs to come off.

Bolt it down again when you're done. Batteries are heavy, and you don't want them moving around.

potential for putting the radio in safe mode, so its good to have the code for that. otherwise no problems.
