What size is necessary? I already have I believe 8 gauge wire for my amp running from my bay to the trunk. I believe it can take 600 watts. That's only about 50 amps @ 12V though.

How much power handling/what gauge wire do I need to run it safely?

 

I'm running 2 gauge w/ 150A fuse inline.

 

Most setups I've seen are 0 guage though.

 

Figure 90ish amps to crank the car. 150A should save me if a wire rubs thru, but not blow from cranking a lot.
