This is always another option for a boost gauge. EFU 4U
Seems they don't have one for the 02 TT?

I put mine in the passenger side middle vent because it couldn't be turned enough to hit me and I very rarely have anyone with me.

In regards to getting from the floor board to the vent... I used a bent up coat hanger and pushed it down from the vent and got it to come out in the floor board then just taped the lines to it and pulled slowly.Wasn't hard at all.

have to concur, i have zero sip nodda mechanical experience or knowhow, butthe links here and else where made it easily doable (except for putting the lower dash back on). Once you find the grommet, the coat hanger is the way to go, you have to kind of stab through it, removing the lowerdash isnt bad, theres two torx bolts below the dash and several about the fuse compartment. just dont gank it all the way out at once, sit in the seat and let it fall into your lap. then there are 3 wiring harnesses to disconnect, once thats out of the way, its very easy to see right above the pedal where the grommet hole is, especially if you have a boost tube and coat hanger poking through [:'(]with that done and the vent ring pulled out its an easy and obvious route for the vac line. There are much better links about, but honestly, I have never done anything to any car I have owned other than gas and drive it before, and because of all the info and experience around here, it was quite easy.

Once the hose is through the fire wall and into the cabin the hard part is done- I was surprised at how easy it was to get the vac hose and wiring up to the vent, I have worked on cars that had much less room behind the dash. Taking the lower dash panel/ bolster off is key, you need to take it off to access the grounding point anyways. I followed several write ups for the install, plus another good resource is on AWE tunings website. I bought my gauge from them and they have step by step instructions with pics as a pdf download. If you follow their wiring advice your gauge will illuminate with ignition but not dim with the rest of the gauge cluster. good luck!

yeah, once you have the dash off, the common ground is right there , and for hot, tap into the light blue wire going to the headlight wiring harness. check the link ryan posted, i can barely screw in a light bulb but this was nearly as easy.
