Default blinkers stick on

I have a 2001 Audi TT. My turn signal lights do not flash/blink, they just stay on steady. I have read other posts where people say they flash a couple of times and then stop. Mine do not do that, they do not flash at all, the light just stays on steady. I have checked my hazards, they are working just fine. I have twice had the same or same symptom problem before. Last time they said it was the switch and the warranty covered the replacement (cruise was not working then either). The time before that they said it was a 'relay' and the extended warranty didn't cover it. Since the cruise was working when I checked a few days ago when the blinker was sticking onI am thinking the warranty may notcover it this time so I am consideringdoing it myself. Alsothe signal was working compleatly fine before it stuck on the first time a few days ago, then it was working normally next time I drove it, then stuck on, then working normally, and it has now been staying on steady for two days every time I try to use the turn signal.I have seenposts that say to replace the flasher in the hazard,if the hazardsare working just fine how doesthat tie into theturn signal flashers not working?

Dunno why, but it happens. It is the same relay, and you can have working hazards, and non-working turn signals.
