so.. to add to my set of blinking displays on my gauges, a blinking "brake" light has been coming on recently.


anyone diagnose me?

I'd look at the wires and stuff.
Actually isn't there a brake light sensor somewhere around the pedal?

 

^ those gremlins are really out and playing. all over my cluster.

hmm it's no biggie actually. car drives perfect. there's jus enough lights flashing at me that it looks like there's a rave going on in my cluster.

 

You driving with the e-brake up? Heh.

i got this blinking at me, my oil flashing at me on the display and my abs/esp popping on and off. my car's gonna blow up soon.

anyone else have this blinking brake problem?

 

if all those lights are coming up, its probably the cluster or you somehow fried the harness going into it. I cant see each light flashing on its own without all being related since that is a extemely low possibility.

 

^ well... i think it's all independent situations.

i think i have a loose oil sensor... thus the oil light coming on and off display and the oil temp gauge going from C to middle temp on occassion.

the ABS/ESP light coming on is a universal problem.

so for the brake light blinking at me... i actually never heard of this ever coming on for anyone on the forums after my 2 year stay here.

so... has anyone else ever had this problem? or am i the first one =(

 

I am having the same problems but my brake light stays on it does not flash. And the e brake is not engaged either.
