does anyone have a diagram of how to install a boost guage? i got a cheap one from the auto parts store and the diagram looks like a child drew it. thanks, james.

ok, i figured out how mine all goes together and i also found out that you run the line behind the pedals. the only thing that i saw to tap into though was the FPR. is this possible. here is the link that i found.

Slowtruck I didnt think you put the turbo boost guage into the FPR. I thought it was suppose to go to Waste gate or the intercooler pipe to read boost pressure. Maybe Im wrong.

no it not to the FPR= fuel pressure regulator. has nothing to do with the Turbo boost. check out this link he did one too not to the FPR at all.

That line is pressure source from the manifold, so it among others, works.

i had to rig up some brass connectors to make a T that i can use with the compression hose that i got with the gauge. i put everything together and i showed no boost at idle. when i put the revs up to 6000 it only said 5. if i used fittings that were to big would that be my problem.

The hose size won't make any difference. But the quality of the gauge will impact its accuracy and response.

Were you moving or just revving in neutral? The car has to be in gear with the engine under load to get boost, otherwise the waste gate stays open.

i returned the crappy guage this morning and got an auto meter pro comp. i think that i have a leaky intake gasket though. would that do it. and also driving the car i got it to spike at 7psi. what is the stock pressure on a 225?
