That pictureis the most usefull utilization of the internet I've seen in a while. I knew there was something out there better than pirated music. Still going to pay some one else to put mine in but at least I've seen it.

RE: Boost gauge questions
why would you pay someone? If you go on vortex there are a few step by steps that make it beyond easy for the most novice of car people. All you do is Tee in that hose, run the hose through a grommet in the firewall, and find 2 electrical connections (that can be found in your steering columb). May take you a few hours but well worth the satisfaction of doing it yourself.

RE: Boost gauge questions
I installed mine according this the pics in this guy's (Jeff's) web page
http://www.loomknitting.com/auditt/

I ended up fabricating my own aluminum ring and mounted the gauge in the left air vent. I perforated the ring to allow air flow, looks really nice and stealthy. I didn't really want a pod but did want to retain the vent's function. The biggest pain was getting the diffuser apart without trashing it. Because the gauge is mirrored, needs to have power whenever the power is on, otherwise tapping into the dash dimmer control is fine.

RE: Boost gauge questions
if your still having problems switch the vacuum line to the fpr like i posted above. you may have tapped into a hose that is pre throttle body that will not show boost. It should only take a min or two so give it a shot. Should work much better.

RE: Boost gauge questions
Thanx Cincy, you were right. The gauge is way more responsive when connected to the FPR. Works like a champ now. It also helps when connecting tubing when it's not 5 degrees in the garage!! At least 40 today. I was going to post a pic of the vent install, but must have overdosed on stupid pills today. IfI embeda photo, does it not show up the the "preview" screen?

RE: Boost gauge questions
so i take it you finally are showing boost? thats always nice for a boost guage huh?

The easiest way to do a pic is make a gallery like the little cameras under screen names. Then you can show pics from the af hosting.
