Default BOV opinions

I would like to put a BOV on my car although I know that the TTs have diverter valves. I hear that the BOV also make the fuel rich. Does anyone actually have a BOV on their car and how is it treating you? Thanks!

first, this topic is beaten to death and covered in the FAQ. If you want a bov, go to ecstuning.com and pick up a forge004

That doesnt matter one bit. If you had any real info you would know that all it takes is the valve to be closed at idle. Been running a bov on my car for over 3 years w/o a single issue or code thrown from it. Dozens are doing the same. The only issue with the 004 i have seen ever posted were some were sent out with to weak of a secondary spring and the valve was barely open at idle. Forge reps took returns on these and added a stiffer spring or you could handle it yourself and take 5 mins to take it apart and throw a washer in the there.

Its people like you that post nonsense w/ 0 info backing it up that bring forums down and keep VAG cars in the dark ages.

I also had a splitter, was given to me from forge to be one of the first. Ran flawlessly. Obviously you did something wrong since it works well when installed properly.

Go look at my post count and you will see that i do plenty of research and have spent much of my time helping those with their questions and problems over the years. BTW, less than probably 1k of those post were spent in the OT section. If you search BOV, you will see my name pop up in most of those threads in the last 3+ years. People now post what i have verbatim. I have done more with my car that people said wouldnt work and ended up making more power than everyone else that said otherwise all while running w/o issue. I have laid much groundwork that many on this and other forums have followed and have had great success with also.

you are right cincy i've seen your name all over this forum over the past two years and i have found your input not only credible but very helpful, i am also not doubting that you know more about cars than me but i was simply stating my opinion cuz that is what he was asking for, opinions. my opinion is that you should just stick with a diverter valve and not change the properties of the engine. i don't want any bad blood because you seem like a good guy.
