the break peddle switch has to be replaced ( unless it came out of its holder ) its a push and twist type switch so it cant be set or adjusted, if the break lights are on all the time chances are its came out or the switch is bad

Note:
To ensure a secure fitting, the switch may be installed only once.
Removing
‒Remove storage compartment on driver's side. [/ul]
‒Unplug electrical connector.
‒→ Remove brake light switch -1- by turning anti-clockwise through 90°. [/ul]
Installing
Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:
‒Pull brake light switch plunger fully out.
‒Press brake pedal down as far as possible by hand.
‒→ Guide switch through fitting hole and secure by turning 90°clockwise -arrows-.
‒Release brake pedal.
‒Ensure proper function of brake lights when brake pedal is pressed and released[/ul]

I'd try cleaning before I went to replacing. If the lights are staying on, its probaby that the plunger is stuck in. Might be as simple as popping it back out, and cleaning the junk out of it. You gotta notice how dirty it gets down there, you track dirt in every time you get it.
