Brake Pad Choice?
My wear sensor came on yesterday. I measured the pads with a micrometer, called the dealer and they said I should have at least 1000-2000 miles left. Therefore I'm ordering new pads off the internet. I notice several brands available EBC, Hawk, Axxis, OEM,and Mintex. I plan on simply truning my discs as I can't afford new rotors. Any suggestions on what the best bang for the buck is. I want low fade and low noise. Also I looked through the Bentley's and other than needing the special brake piston tool it looks to be a simple brake pad change. Is there anything special for this vehicle I should know?
Are you sure you can't afford new rotors? I'm about to purchase brembo sport slotted front and rear rotors for $350....
Check it out!
Then I plan on purchasing Mintex red box for the front and rear from ECStuning. You can get the tool from ECS as well!
Clicky!
I also looked here. They have some good deals on brake pads!

I like the Hawk HPS pads for the street and AutoX.
You won't need any special tools unless you are doing the rears, for that you will need a special tool that rotates the piston as it is compressed. You can usually rent the tool at your local Autozone or similar store. Otherwise you can get one at Metalnerd. While you are at it, pick up a can of ATE blue racing brake fluid and flush and bleed your brakes, it needs to be done every two years or two track events anyway.

Got my IRS approval today:
I purchase Mintex Blue Box Pads
The ECS Crossdrilled/slotted discs
necessary fluids and grease
Brake piston tool (I planon having the car long enough to get my money worth)
Happy Motoring,
