Thumbs down Brake dust on my Audi TT 2002

I'm the original owner of my TT and have had issues with brake dust ever since I purchased the car. I am going to have new pads and rotors installed this month and would like to know if I should insist on different pads instead of the Audi factory pads or has Audi improved this product to eliminate brake dust? I am taking the TT to a foreign motors mechanic so I may have more options than if I took it back to the dealership.
I can scrub my wheels back to looking brand new but after 2 weeks of driving they look black again from all of the brake dust. I takes me an hour of scrubbing to get them clean again. Is anyone else having this problem?
It's really the only issue I have ever had with this car and plan to keep it until I die!!!

There are definitely brake pads made to produce less dust than OEM. Should have no trouble finding them. Hawk is one example.
