Ok my buddy broke the ground off the coil pack on his TT. He solder the ground wire back but is there a better fix or having to replace the whole coil wires

He broke the ground on the Coilpack? Or was it on the harness itself?

If it is the harness, probably best to replace it, they tend to fail over time from the heat.

I don't know if the harness p/n would be the same for your engine code. You need to find out.

Coilpack harness: 1J0971658L ($37 at worldimpex)
Coilpack harness heatshield: 8L9121659 ($44 at worldimpex)

"It's offically for a AWD Golf, but since the ATC engines are basically the same the harness fits perfectly. Install should be about 3-4 hours, getting the pins out of each of the connectors is the hardest part. I've attached
the TSB as well (has all the instructions)."

Thank you so much I can't think of how to really tell you hat I mean...lol. I have a V6 and its looks like the same thing on the TT. On mine the coil pack has a connecter one main piece (with tons of wires red , yellow the good stuff) and then a sigle black wire with a little black box which is the part that connects to the coil pack. That little black wire with the box is the wire that broke and he solder it just for the time being.
